I touched base on the topic in a previous blog, and I have a feeling that I'm going to be writing about finds like this for the foreseeable future. I mentioned in a previous blog about the new subway in Naples, the construction of which has turned up some interesting Roman artifacts. Check out Archeology Magazine for more info on that dig. It's always fun to wonder what is under our feet waiting to be dug up.
Hello everyone. I am an undergraduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee majoring in Classics and Art History. I plan to eventually get my Ph.D. in Classical Art and Archaeology. I love all aspects of the Classical Mediterranean world, but my main areas of interest include the Roman military, Roman wall painting, Greek and Roman architecture, Greek and Roman sculpture, Roman Imperial coinage, Archaic and Classical Greek pottery and ancient ships and sea travel.
